I know the point is not to have to do too much cutting etc but I wanted a smaller pot.
I found that 11" by 17" will make a pot 3" deep with 2" sides and bottom. Just fyi---I have a thousand hevnlyblue vines coming up in my flower bed so I'm going to pot them til I'm tired and give them away!

My newspaper measured almost 21" x 12". I came up with short flaps as well. SO, I cut 2 inches off the longest side---- 19" x 12" worked out great!
Thanks for this video!!!!

I have been using price comparison sites like http://www.thecollegetextbooks.net for buying my textbooks. It is better than going for standalone stores. As you can save on lot of money using them.

Thanks for the useful post. I will follow the video to make some pots. But I think we not only use the newspaper, we can use higher quality papers to make more interesting pots.

Hey! I tried this afternoon after I have read the blog. I was amazed with the result. You are actually recycling the newspaper into pots and the best thing about it is that you are saving the world from garbage noxious waste. But I have a concern about the durability of those pots made of newspaper. I hope my finished product is durable.

Me and my trustee helpers (kids) are trying these but our local paper must be a different size than yours. We end up with a tiny flap at the end which is not large enough to fold down. Please give me the size of your paper so we can adjust ours.

thanks
